About The Long County Press

The Long County Press was formed on August 8, 2008, when Publisher Mittie Vaughan officially opened the bank account and rented its post office box. The first issue of the newspaper was published on August 28, 2008. The newspaper is presently mailed by bulk rate permit but will make application for its Periodical permit in the near future. The Long County Press temporary office is located at 44 Stevens Lane, Ludowici, and an older building on the site will be renovated in coming months to serve as the newspaper's office. The Long County Press is owned and operated by Mittie Vaughan, d/b/a Press Publishing Company as a sole proprietorship.
